Connie Otteson was named Idaho Writers League’s Writer of the Year for 2006 and 2009. She is a native of Idaho Falls, Idaho and has a passion for Idaho history and telling stories about local heroes. This combination caused her to stumble into writing books. Connie and her husband, Dennis, raised four children in Idaho Falls and so far have eighteen grandchildren.

Connie served as an officer on the board of Bonneville Company Daughters of Utah Pioneers for thirteen years, three years as secretary-treasurer for the Bonneville County Heritage Association, and is currently state secretary of Idaho Writer's League. Connie is a free-lance writer for Idaho Falls Magazine and IDAHO Magazine.
