When Bonneville County, Idaho, was carved out of Bingham County in 1911, settlers had lived in the area for nearly fifty years.  What became of those hardy pioneers? 

What are their stories?

 

The names of these unsung heroes, with a few exceptions, are unknown today except to their own posterity.  The twenty-one stories in this book are an effort to preserve a few tales of valiant struggle and sacrifice.  These are a small portion of the brave pioneers who settled this area, but their deeds are representative of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of others.  They are all the unsung heroes and settlers of
